Day 278- May 28, 2011

What do you do when you have an indescribable amount of anxiety and pent-up frustration? Spend 75 minutes turning chickpeas into hummus using only a fork... How very cathartic.

Day 277- May 27, 2011

3/4 of the way through!!! Time will fly now!
I also want your opinion on this one: middle outfit, man or womans?

Day 276- May 26, 2011

I would really love your insight into what this is advertising!

Day 275- May 25, 2011

In Myongdong [famous shopping area in Seoul], these girls, in crazy outfits, stand outside the (hundreds of)  beauty stores with microphones  gesturing you in for free products! If  you want sensory overload, come here!

Day 274- May 24, 2011

5th grade throwback: babyG watches

Day 273- May 23, 2011

I'm just not sure how to comment on this.

Day 272- May 22, 2011

Went to Pyeongtaek Girls Middle School to see an open class. These girls work so hard!!  It was nice to  how my schools counterpart functions (and made me a little jealous).

Day 271- May 21, 2011

Is it bad that I walked by these men changing a store sign and thought it was a beer pong table?

Day 270- May 20, 2011

Just a nice night out for wine with friends!

Day 269- May 19, 2011

This is just begging a foreigner to take a picture of it.

Day 268- May 18, 2011

Sorry it's blurry. Adorable people pleaser outside the restaurant at dinner. I love korean children!

Day 267- May 17, 2011

It's pay day! What does Lauren do with all her money? Get a ridiculous colored manicure. Not quite sure what came over me on this one, but won't be doing it again.

Day 266- May 16, 2011

Sweet Seoul Nights: Namsan Tower lit up as see from Itaewon.

Day 265- May 15, 2011

New mexican joint in AK plaza!!!!! I will be eating here frequently. Can't complain about the company either :)

Day 264- May 14, 2011

The Korean version of Jins Chicken. Late night hamburgers done marginally well.

Day 262- May 12, 2011

I love getting things on my desk in the morning. For teachers day, we all got warm ooey gooey sweet delicious rice cakes an a beautiful flower basket. They treat us well around here!

Day 261- May 11, 2011

Day 263- May 13, 2011

Sports day at  PJH (or PMS depending on what language you want to make an acronym for. I prefer English,  because it's kind of ironic).

Day 260- May 10, 2011

Today is Buddha's birthday and all the streets in Korea are lined with these lanterns (have been for the past month) marking the celebration. There are all sorts of celebrations going on around the country today :)

Day 259- May 9, 2011

Yesterday was parents day (a combination of mothers and father s day) and you could not walk more than 50 yards without seeing stands selling flower baskets! What a nice sentiment.

Day 258- May 8, 2011

What I would have taken a picture of if I went to the Lotus Lantern Festival in Seoul. But i'm told there are way too many people, so I stayed around the comforts of home.

Day 257- May 7, 2011

Something very silly Lexi and I found at HomePlus grocery store

Day 256- May 6, 2011

What do a bunch of waygook teachers do when they have a day off? We take over the movie theater and watch water for elephants!

Day 255- May 5, 2011

Physical Fitness Testing today. Remember in middle school, when you had to run from one side of the gym to the other but only when the prerecorded tape "dinged?" Apparently, this is an international concept...fancy that.

Day 251- May 4, 2011

I call this "Dog and Boy." Deep.

Day 250- May 3, 2011

Pretty sunset over Pyeongtaek Lake. I was fortunate to pretend to back in suburbia for a second when our friends Laura and Jordan invited us to dinner! A wonderful night was had by all!

Day 249- May 2, 2011

It's nice to see all the trees blooming outside my school today :)

Day 248- May 1, 2011

I love my Sundays at Cafe Bene. Two things I noticed in my typical people watching is couples being ridiculously affectionate, and as posted above; girls taking pictures of themselves.

Day 247- April 30, 2011

I walk by this  poster which happens to be outside a bar. I find it questionable that a man over a toilet is  a good advertisement for a bar... the best part is the translation "I'm awkward..." Oh Korea
